The 30-minute immobilization stress was shown to raise significantly the non-enzymatic fibrinolytic activity of blood in rates. Combined with ACTH the effect is still greater. I. v. administration of 0.2 ml 0.011 solution if urotaiminsulnhate prevented the non-enzymatic f rbrinolysis induced by the stress. Administration of ACTH after protaminsulphate again raisedthe fibrinolysis. This suggests that ACTH stimulates-the release of heparin.
