The Watchtower Memorial Service The Jehovah's Witness memorial service is supposed to commemorate the death of Christ. However, according to Watchtower teaching, the average Jehovah’s Witness does not partake of the service. Instead, only a special 144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses called the "anointed class" have the right to take Communion at The Memorial Service -- and they are also the only ones who are born again and go to heaven, (The Watchtower, Feb. 15th, 1985, p. 13.) When you see them in their service, watch how they don’t participate. Compare their abstinence with the words of Jesus. “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves," (John 6:53). Also, “And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said, “Take this and share it among yourselves..."This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 20 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood," (Luke 22:17,19-20). Jesus instructed his followers to partake in the Lord's Supper since it represents the forgiveness of sins. However, the JW's don't take it! They are, essentially, rejecting the work of Christ's sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins when they refuse to take of the Covenant Sign, the Communion -- and they want you to join their organization and do the same!
WHY DO THE JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES NOT DO WHAT CHRIST INSTRUCTED? They don’t do what Christ instructed because the JW religion has distorted what the Bible says. Go to any Christian bookstore or go online and you'll see that the Jehovah's Witness organization is universally called a non-Christian cult by all of Christianity. It denies essential Christian doctrines such as the Trinity (Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14), that Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14), Jesus’ physical resurrection (John 2:19-21; 20:25-28), and salvation by grace through faith alone (Rom. 4:105; 5:1). In fact, it has even altered the Bible to suit its teachings. But that isn't all.
THE WATCHTOWER ORGANIZATION SAYS…
"Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book," (Watchtower, July 1, 1973, p. 402). “Theocratic ones will appreciate the Lord's visible organization and not be so foolish as to put against Jehovah's channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings," (Watchtower, Feb. 1, 1952, p. 79-80). "From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home." (Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1981). According to Watchtower there are four requirements for salvation: "Many have found the second requirement more difficult. It is to obey God's laws, yes, to conform one's life to the moral requirements set out in the Bible,” (Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1983, p. 12). The Jehovah’s Witness organization claims to be the prophet of God (Watchtower, Apr. 1, 1972, p. 197), and yet has made many false prophecies. BE WARNED. Don’t be deceived by the unbiblical teachings that this organization promotes. In Matt. 24:24 Jesus said in the last days many false Christs and false prophets will arise and deceive many. The Jehovah’s Witness organization is a false prophet. It is not Christian. The God of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is not the God of the Bible.
THE BIBLE SAYS… There is a Trinity (Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14), that Jesus is God the Word who became flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9), that Jesus rose from the dead physically (John 2:19; 20:25-28), and that salvation is by grace through faith, not by works (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 4:1-5). Don’t be deceived into joining an organization that will require numerous weekly meetings, door-to-door promotion of its literature, and will tell you that you can’t participate in Christ’s communion that represents the forgiveness of our sins.
