Timber Bridge collection finding aid Forest Products Laboratory Library
The Timber Bridge collection was donated by Michael Ritter and established in 2014 as a place to hold materials used in the National Wood in Transportation Program, Timber Bridge Initiative. It collects together in one place information about constructing timber bridges in the U.S. Also included is information about timber bridges in other countries and information about other materials used in bridges such as concrete and asphalt. The collection includes manuals, blueprints, published picture collections, research reports, engineering tests, design standards, conference proceedings, historic bridges, bridge components, and other items. These items may also be searched individually in the Forest Products Laboratory Library online catalog.
