Switch between text modes
To turn predictive text input off for all editors in your device, tap , and select , and Deactivate prediction or quickly double-tap#. Alternatively, you can tap select Predictive text > Off.
Hindi text entry
This device can send and receive messages in Hindi. This feature is network dependent. Please check with your service provider for availability of this feature.
To set the language
You can select Hindi language for text input, irrespective of the device language, while writing a message. Select > Writing language. Select the Hindi language from the list.
When you tap *, the device displays a table of symbols and special Devanagari characters. Hindi characters are of the following three types: ● Independent vowels, for example, A, Am, B, B(c), C, D ● Combination of a consonant and a vowel, for example, J, Vw ● Combination of multiple consonants, for example, k, l
The indicator is shown on the top right of the display when you write text using the Hindi input. You can combine English text and numbers with Hindi text by switching between the English input, the number input, and the Hindi input methods.
Function of the # key
When input language is Hindi, short tap of # would toggle between Hindi multi-tap and predictive modes. On long tap of # , it would change to number mode.
