Current generation 2K and 4K sensors achieve up to approximately 15 stops (90dB) dynamic range, with a typical drop of 1 to 2 stops (6dB to 12 dB) between 2K and 4K on equivalent sensors at native ISO. Increased system noise floor in camera output for UHD workflow may also involve noise management to improve the scaling quality. Increased dynamic range and wider color gamut in UHD displays accentuates visibility of noise issues for both UHD and HD sources.
