ABSTRACT - The train is one means of public transportation, but until now still common rail accident which is very harmful for both passengers and train operating company itself. Information last location of a train running to know in order to perform traffic arrangements train properly. In addition, for the arrival of trains at station can estimated more accurately. The location of the train can be identified by using the Global Positioning System receiver (GPS) mounted on the rail and also CCTV. For the position of GPS and image can be known by the station continuously, then the GPS position data and also the image of the train drivers need to be sent from the train to the station automatically. In the microcontroller artifacts GPSGSM-GPRS module as an integrated circuit that easily programmed for various applications, may be an alternative to manage the delivery process GPS data and image to the central server station database with GPRS. In this paper, utilizing the technology of Global Positioning System (GPS) in the operational railway system on PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (PT. KAI). Information obtained from the position of data processing train will be delivered via the internet, so that information can be received by the users which includes the PT KAI, passengers or others who need real-time. Keywords: GPS (Global Position System), GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), microcontroller, CCTV, GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), PT KAI.
1. INTRODUCTION The main thing at a rail service provider agencies in Indonesia in particular is how the scheduled departure time, arrival could be timely, ticketting and others. In connection with the scheduled departure and arrival order on time, so far only train service users to information from the ticket window or from a web site that is static data. If there is a problem or delay the scheduled departure time was delayed so the railway station announced through loudspeakers, on the contrary if there is a schedule of late arrival of the train could not get the information real time, another railway station officials announced through loudspeakers. To solve the above problem is to create an application monitoring system train journey open source web based. Railway information system online using an
application program based on open source (PHP, MySql, Apache). By creating an application system for monitoring webbased train journey then, the public can find out and monitor the presence of both trains that come and go leaving the station wherever, whenever, whoever caused all trains had installed a GPS-GSM module which will provide information on where about position data in real time sent to the server. From the server data is processed to produce output or output that is displayed to the website, so it will look good rail traffic which is heading and or die station.

These problems can be overcome by applying including global positioning system. Figure 2: Train Tracking System Architecture

3. DRAFT To be able to create applications that will be then be made to the IPO: - I (Input) - P (Process) - O (Output) Input function as input data to be processed at a later stage. The design consists of a microcontroller input, speed sensors, sensor on / off, the GPS-GSM module, and CCTV each had different functions. Input data such as speed sensors, sensor on / off switch connected to the microcontroller as an input and output data used as input to the GSM module. Position data from GPS module in the form of coordinates used as input also the GSM module. CCTV image data input module as well as GSM. GSM module serves as the sender of data which derive from the output of the output signal microcontroller, a GPS module as well as CCTV images which are sent to the server via GPRS signal to the TCP / IP port of the server as input data. The process serves to receive data transmitted by the GSM module via
TCP / IP server port. In the design process there is a small program called a listener, which receives input data from the GSM module which is then stored into the database as well as log data. Output function to mark the data from previous processes that can be used to update the tables in the database with data that is always updated each time the information data to be displayed on the web server will be real time. So the public can monitor the presence and position of trains in real time as well. At the output there is also a form of alarm that is placed / mounted in the locomotive cab is located, this can only be activated by admin railway station only, if at a very critical condition where the circumstances that would pose a risk will occur rail accident hazard can be viewed on the website , admin will immediately send the signal output to the RS232 interface so that an alarm signal in the locomotive engineer sounded so trains have to be quick to act according to established procedures.

Figure 3: The Presence of Railway Position 3.ANALYSIS Users train monitoring system based on web is divided into two: a regular user and admin. Regular user intended for the general community could only see the website via computer, mobile phone, here is described as the limit of writing. While the user admin is for official or authorized official station that can monitor driver behavior and his staff during the charge, the admin user can send signals to sound an alarm if the driver in a state of drowsiness or other emergency conditions, can see the existence of the position of existing railway behind and in front of it, so can read the latest data when an accident train, supervise speed trains that are running. In every train that has been given a GPS-GSM module, will be equipped with LCD monitor and CPU also can be connected to the internet. So long as
machinist and served in the course staff can see the position of trains that are in front and also behind them. System on the railways are connected to the railway monitoring system to the server. Display a map that is on this website, will be placed on existing programs already exist in Google Map, with a little program that we created so in sync with the railway monitoring system that will be created. As in Figure 3, is a piece of map images on the Google Map, later long as the existing maps on the Google Map. Only later on railway map there will be additional trains pictures like in the navigator which already exist on cars that have been commonly used in society. The difference lies in his image there are two colors, first color is blue which means the position Gambir train left the station, the second color is green which means the position of

the train to Gambir station. Anyone officials at PT KAI (Kereta Api Indonesia), both located in the center and also at local stations, if you want to know the train, monitor and watching can be done through the website, whether using computers, notebooks, i-phone or equipment other communication anywhere, anytime can easily access it. The information will be obtained by officials of PT KAI or admin on this website is to know the behavior of drivers and staff for duty on his way, knowing the existence of all positions either train or to leave and will observe Gambir station, even a train that is still under construction, speed trains that are running will also be seen, the data driver and his staff on duty will also be obtained. So with the railway monitoring system is web-based PT KAI officials and authorized to supervise, monitor, control engineer officer in the field in his work that have a big risk so they can get zero errors. With zero error then the accidents could be reduced as small as possible, there is no more human error. So PT KAI can provide excellent service to the community lovers of mass transportation railway service is, hopefully for the years ahead will increasingly advanced and well, because many are used by lower middle class people of this. With the better performance of PT KAI, the general public believe that many would use his services the public good that middle class and below are also on the upper middle class society, so that will increase profits so far feel financial difficulties are the losers in the condition continues. 4.RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Research methods used in this study first
developed a draft survey to the field, then continue to make rail travel monitoring system based on web by using GPS-GSM module, database, servers that are reliable and then query the appropriate process that will result in an application which has many benefits and can be applied to the real world. 5. CONCLUSION From the railway information system application based website it can be concluded: 1. The public can monitor the presence of both the position of the train is leaving and or to the station with real time through the website. 2. If the accident cannot be avoided then with a real time system existing data in the database will get the data related to the final position of trains, the speed of trains when a collision, a state engineer and railway staff are okay, it could be used as a replacement black box existing on the aircraft.
