(Welcome) Crago Ranch Welcome to Our 38 th Year & Thank You All For Coming! Chuck and Mary along with their son Jade are the three main faces behind the sale, but all of their children, Courtney, Billy, and Troy help with the production. Courtney and Hayse Worthington live in Stephenville, Texas, and have a beautiful 11 month old daughter named Reata Rose. Courtney runs barrels on two daughters of Nonstop Bubblin with a young daughter of CM Nonstop Nitro that will also join the other two in the next couple of years. Hayse is a top team roper and they have consigned one Crago bred roping mare to the sale and another of his great heel horses. Billy and Laura Donovan live in Rapid City, S.D., and are the parents to Alexia (9) and Austin (2). The family comes out for branding and you can always count on them to be there helping on sale day. Troy lives in Stephenville, Texas, and is currently designing the new www.crago.com! Jade just graduated high school this spring and Chuck and Mary expect big things from him as an up and coming Barrel Futurity Trainer on Crago-raised horses as well as a Barrel Horse Breeder. He attended the National High School Finals Rodeo mid-July in the Cattle Cutting for the third time. This time he is competing on a horse named “King Flo” who is a feature in the sale. Jade also heads on a Crago raised gelding by Nonstop Bubblin named CM Bubblin Drifter. The Crago’s are extremely proud of the stallions they stand and expect big things from their four youngest up and coming stallions! Their oldest stallion has already proven himself time and again. PC Bronsin is the senior sire at the Crago Ranch at 28 Years of age. He is a buckskin son of $3 Million Sire, Sun Frost, out of a daughter of AAA Race Stallion, John Red. Bronsin has sired winners in nearly every event you can imagine and they have always looked good doing it. Even though Bronsin is nearly done breeding, they still have Frozen Semen and many daughters in the broodmare band to continue his legacy. Fire on Bug is one of the newer additions and his first crop for the Crago Ranch came in 2013. All they can say is WOW! He is a 2001 Palomino Stallion by $4 Million Barrel Sire, Fire Water Flit out of futurity champion producing daughter of Shawne Bug, the decades leading Broodmare Sire of Barrel Horses. His oldest colts are hitting the arena and looking very promising.

Duals Blue Peppy is a 2003 Bay Roan Son of Duals Blue Boon, cutting earner of $200,000 out of Sweet Peppy Again, $300,000 cutting producer by Peppy San Badger. Dually’s list of accomplishments are both important and impressive to them. He was the 2007 SDRCHA Non Pro Derby Champion with Chuck Crago and after being put back into training has earned his AQHA Performance ROM, Qualified for the 2013 AQHA World Show in two events to date, and was the Reserve Champion at the 4 Event Stockhorse Challenge in McCook, Nebraska. His colts are showing the same talent in multiple arena events! CM Nonstop Nitro is a 2004 Black Stallion that was born and raised at the Crago Ranch. He is by the late, great Nonstop Bubblin, who won over $85,000 running barrels, out of a producing daughter of Doc O Dynamite. CM Nonstop Nitro has already sired a WPRA Money Earner and Futurity Champion from his crop to hit the arena! Nonstop Nitro is a very special stallion to the Crago’s as Nonstop Bubblin was owned by the Cragos for many years and ridden to many accomplishments by Mary Crago. One of the highlights of Mary’s year was to get a Nonstop Bubblin daughter out of a Money Earning daughter of CM Dynamite Frost via embryo transfer and frozen semen. The whole family is also looking forward to two foals by Nonstop Bubblin in 2014 out of a producing daughter of Dash Ta Fame and a proven daughter of Ihavepromises Tokeep (Former Crago Stallion by First Down Dash). Platinum Bully is the newest addition and was purchased after CM Dynamite Frost was tragically lost to lightning in the spring of 2012. He is a 2005 Bay Roan Son of the great, Bully Bullion, out of an outstanding Barrel Earning mare by Bold Array who was a Track Record Setter and earned a speed index of 106. Platinum Bully’s first crop produced a money earner at the BFA World Finals in 2012, the world’s largest Barrel Futurity and he most recently sired a money earner on the racetrack. Platinum Bully’s first crop of foals at the Crago Ranch also arrived in 2013 and they are very impressed with them as well!

All in all, the Crago Family is very proud of their stallion lineup and hope to see their colts in the winner’s circle in the near future. Although the Crago’s are very proud of their stallions, they know the broodmares are equally important. Their broodmare band consists of many mares they raised as well as some they bought that are own daughters of top stallions. They are the most proud of the mares they raised though, because they know both parents and how they sired or produced. This is an important aspect in knowing how each mare’s colt with move, look, and ride. One of the 2013 Crago Performance Horse Sale features will be CM DYNAMITE SHAKE, a 5 yr old Buckskin gelding that was purchased from the ranch as a 2-yr-old by Sam Flannery with Flannery Barrel Horses. Sam is one of the top Futurity riders in the nation, and has once again taken a Crago horse to the winners circle. Shake is a solid, consistent, 1D barrel horse and is patterned on the poles with extensive ranch use as well. Sam is a repeat customer from Crago Performance Horses. Chuck, Mary, and Jade Crago will be hosting their first horse sale in 8 years along with guest consignors. They originally had 29 consecutive sales when a 10 year drought forced them to reduce their numbers and keep only their very best bloodlines. They continued to sell privately very successfully. Through this time, they have been selectively keeping mares and buying top bloodlines to insure a highly regarded sale. The Cragos will feature some of the very top bloodlines in the performance world. Stallion power they stand behind includes, FIRE ON BUG, PLATINUM BULLY, CM NONSTOP NITRO, PC BRONSIN AND DUALS BLUE PEPPY along with powerfully bred broodmares to compliment them. Bronsin is 28 this year and still settling mares. As if that isn’t enough from a stud at that age, he is still completely sound! He is our senior sire and has been very important and influential to our program. Bronsin has sired winners in so many different events at all levels. We think Bronsin is really a strong breeder and out sires himself time after time on such a wide variety of mares. His sons are great sires, but we think the daughters are just as good because they are such great producers and will cross on so many different studs. Bronsin has a lot of balance to him with good feet and flat bone which is a big contributing factor as to why he is still sound. Pretty is always an adjective used to describe the Bronsin colts and he has sired nearly every color. He has the pedigree to back up that beautiful color as well. He is a son of the legendary Sun Frost, whose progeny and grand progeny have earned over $9 Million including 14 NFR Qualifiers. Bronsin’s dam, Red Rockette is daughter of John Red, the first AAA racehorse in South Dakota. John Red had a speed index of 96 and set a World Record at 220 Yards in 1948. have flat bone, good withers, trainable minds and all the speed you will need when you ask for it. They are going to be very natural barrel horses just like the Nonstop Bubblin colts were and are already proving that. NFR Qualifier, Jeanne Anderson, won the Kansas NBHA Futurity Championship on “John Henry”, a 5 Year Old gelding by Nitro out of a PC Bronsin daughter. Jeanne and John Henry have also won money at numerous WPRA Rodeos. This is Nitro’s first crop of colts and we could not think of a better way to start. Jade will be taking a 4 Year Old Mare by Nitro out of CM Sak Em A Bronsin, another PC Bronsin daughter, to the BFA Futurity in December. CM DYNAMITE FROST

We are still so devastated over losing Dynamite to lightning last summer, but we do have some frozen semen on him and some of his daughters to continue his legacy. Dynamite always sired pretty colts that had trainability bred in. Along with his looks and color, he carries the pedigree of what may be two of the all-time greatest rodeo bloodlines, Doc O Dynamite and Sun Frost. Doc O Dynamite might have sired as many top rope and barrel horses as any stallion in this area, not to mention over $650,000 in cutting earnings. Cross Doc O Dynamite on one of the top daughters of Sun Frost and you are going to have a winner. Sun Frost progeny and grand progeny have earned in excess of $9.3 Million and include 14 NFR Qualifiers. Dynamite was destined to be a winner and a sire, and that he was. He earned NRCHA money as a 3 Year Old and was the 2009 AQHA Region Two Reserve Senior Heading Champion and Reserve Senior Heeling Champion followed by a 2010 AQHA Region Two Senior Heading Championship and Senior Heeling Reserve Championship. CM Dynamite Frost’s colts were starting to really excel in the arena. One of his daughters, CM Bubblin Dynamite (Out of a daughter of Nonstop Bubblin) was the Reserve Champion at the 2013 Rodeo Rigs Turnaround Slot Race and the 2010 AQHA Region Two Novice Youth Barrel Racing Champion among other wins. Duals Blue Peppy is an outstanding individual. We won some NRCHA money with Dually as a 3 and 4 Year Old as well as the SDRCHA Non-Pro Derby Championship on him as a 4 Year Old. He qualified for the AQHA World Show in the Senior Working Cow Horse at his first show in Rapid City. Dually was shown in Sioux Falls and earned the Senior Open All Around Champion by placing in Senior Calf Roping and Senior Ranch Pleasure and completing his AQHA Performance ROM. Dually also qualified for the AQHA World Show in Senior Ranch Pleasure at this show. Levi then took Dually to the Drought Buster Challenge in McCook, Nebraska, where he took home the Reserve Championship in the Stockhorse Challenge, competing in Herd Work, Reining, Fence Work, and Steer Stopping.
