ABOUT THE EVENT Drinkpreneur Live is Europe’s first business accelerator event for beverage start-ups. This unique one day conference and concept development workshop will enable new beverage brands to meet with industry experts, advisers and mentors who will be on-hand to stimulate ideas and share knowledge. This highly interactive day will include insightful presentations, quality networking time, and an awards presentation for those delegates who have entered their own concepts or finished beverage products. The day will include: Beverage business essentials Presentations from industry experts to cover: • Market gap analysis • Concept design, branding and marketing • Product development and production planning • Financing and funding • Right route to market Keynote presentations Unique networking Delegates will have the opportunity to meet and network with established industry leaders, decision makers and advisers one-to-one. Mentors will available to advise and share experiences on topics including market gaps, product formulation, production, design, sustainable packaging, business plans and much more. Drinkpreneur Live Awards These will recognise the best beverage concept or start-up product. Online entries will be shortlisted by a panel of industry experts who will be looking for creativity, marketability, innovation and overall business growth potential. Online applications will be accepted until 31 May. The brands or concepts scoring highest with the judges will then be given the opportunity to present their products at Drinkpreneur Live on 11 June. Event attendees who have not entered the awards can align themselves with any brand or concept and join its team to assist with the pitch on the day. The overall winner will be selected by the panel. ABOUT THE LOCATION The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn, 30 Jamestown Road, Camden, London NW1 7BY. www.holidayinncamden.co.uk Camden Town has been a residential area of London since the 1790s, but it was only the development of the Grand Union Canal that turned it into one of London’s most bustling boroughs. MENTORS Do look out for these beverage industry experts and ask them for their views. They’re all there to encourage, share knowledge and advise. Chris Dow is Chief Executive Officer of Closed Loop Recycling, an innovative and state-of-the art UK plastics recycling company. He is an expert in waste management and recycling, regularly advising government bodies and industry.
Lavinia Gyamfuah aims to make the world a better place by delivering on the belief that a healthy lifestyle can be simple and enjoyable. Recognising there is a huge gap between healthy consumption and tasty consumption, she aims to bridge this gap with her new brand of drinks, BE:ZEN brand.
Lulu Laidlaw-Smith’s infectious enthusiasm and energy remain undiminished after too many years in the industry to mention. Finding opportunities for brands to achieve new commercial growth still wakes her up in the middle of the night . . . it’s a concern deep within her core.
Marc Miller is an award winning inventor, brandowner, author and co-founder of HUMAN, an international beverage distribution company with a focus on well executed beverages with strong unique sales propositions and celebrity driven brands.
Claire Phoenix is a Director of FoodBev Media Ltd and Managing Editor of its magazines, overseeing content for Beverage Innovation, Dairy Innovation and Food & Beverage International. Her specialisation is trend spotting in food and drinks worldwide.
Adomas Pranevicius is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of MyDrink Beverages, a premier supplier of functional ingredient solutions to the beverage industry. He specialises in beverage concept development, start-up beverage projects, business development and brand building.
ENTERING THE AWARDS
Crispin Reed is Managing Director - Europe for global brand and innovation consultancy, Fusion Learning, which has worked with many companies in the beverages sector including Coca-Cola, Molson Coors and SABMiller.
Keith Robinson is an expert in the UK wholesale channel and helps brands, from cottage to global, achieve their route to market goals. He has represented global brands in managing massive field sales and merchandising teams to sell product through the supply chain.
Heather Roxborough is a Principal with Tate & Lyle Ventures, a global fund with £55 million under management, specialising in nutrition and food related technologies. A scientist by training, Heather holds a BSc and PhD in Biochemistry from Queen’s University, Belfast.
Jason Smith is a Sales and Managing Director with over 20 years’ experience, working for some of the world’s most successful start-ups in both the UK and USA, consistently delivering strong and sustained revenue growth within highly competitive market sectors.
Neil Wallburton is an experienced engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the food, drink and packaging industries. Neil has worked for many major market-leading companies including Gerber Juice, Robert Wiseman Dairies, Constellation Europe Ltd and Bakkovar Foods.
