EOD ROBOT tEODor Keep a safe distance. This fundamental principle of bomb disposal technology is increasingly making the EOD robot a required tool for bomb disposal engineers everywhere. The telerob Explosive Ordnance Disposal and observation robot sets the standard worldwide. Robust, reliable and dependable, this pioneering bomb disposal system offers the ultimate in safety and security. Deployed in over 41 countries, tEODor robots help keep EOD technicians out of harm’s way and protect lives and property. Law enforcement and military units around the world place their trust in the outstanding reliability of tEODor.

Highlights:

● Programmable six-axis manipulator with an extra linear axis ● Three position tool magazine for remote downrange tool exchange ● Operation of up to five disrupters including dual PAN disrupters

● Integrated diagnostic system with remote maintenance module ● A comprehensive list of accessories (more than 40 special tools and devices)

● The ability to operate under ambient temperature conditions ranging from -4°F to +140°F

A wide array of special ballistic systems, devices and other equipment is available for dealing with improvised explosives and incendiary devices, mines and other unexploded ordnance (UXO). Moreover, the modular design and standardized interfaces lend themselves to customer-specific solutions. Inspection and observation In addition to a comprehensive selection of special cameras, x-ray systems can be deployed in order to gain an idea of the interior structure of suspicious objects, providing information for executing accurate follow-up measures. Neutralization and disposal tEODor is equipped to operate with virtually any standard ballistic system. Furthermore, the tremendous load capac-

ity of the manipulator permits parallel deployment of short- and long-range systems. Manipulation Parallel movement of two axes facilitates movement towards an object. The unique linear axis and rotating turret offer outstanding freedom- of movement. The manipulator arm withdraws standard tools such as tearing hooks, windowbreakers, and battery-operated tools semi-autonomously from the onboard tool magazine. In the process, the electrical contacts for controlling the devices are simultaneously established.

EOD ROBOT tEODor The basic unit is a two-tracked vehicle. Its running gear is characterized by extreme maneuvrability, a good off-road capability and the ability to climb gradients of 45°. Individual track segments can be easily exchanged when worn out or damaged. Both rearwards and forwards, the hightorsion drives operate in infinitely variable mode. This enables the vehicle and manipulator to move with acute sensitivity. Automatically activated safety brakes keep the vehicle from slipping on gradients or steps. The six-axis manipulator features a 112 inch-reach. Thanks to a carrying capacity of up to 220 lbs (with shorter reach) even heavy objects can be easily handled. Safety clutches protect the manipulator axes from the risk of overload damage.

The manipulator forearm features a linear axis, which makes it easier to set objects down, as well as facilitating the inspection of automobiles. Routine operations such as tool changing and folding and unfolding are initiated at the touch of a button, enabling the operator to concentrate on the mission. Control can be exercised either by radio or via a 650 foot-long auto-spooling fiber optics. An outstanding element is the cable drum, which features an automatic wind-up mechanism and an integrated tool magazine.

A special data reporting system enables reliable, uninterrupted operation. Key vehicle data such as battery voltage, temperature of the electronic components or gripping pressure are systematically collected and appear either on the control panel display or the video monitor. An integrated diagnostic system enables easy analysis of the tEODor platform. Special software permits access to the diagnostic system via the Internet. Even the basic version is equipped with a vision system consisting of two drive cameras, a PTZ camera and a gripper camera. A stereo camera and an extra PTZ camera are available as options. All of the cameras are color cameras and equipped with variable lighting. The control station is designed to serve as a mobile operations center. It has its own power supply, and can be set up in seconds anywhere. A large TFT monitor provides an excellent overview of the area of operation. During operations within sight of the vehicle, the compact control panel can be operated separately from the control station.
