FREE COMPOSTING WORKSHOPS for Laguna Beach Residents

Composting is a simple and natural way to turn yard and food waste into valuable organic fertilizer for your home garden.

The City and Waste Management will offer four composting workshops in 2017 at no cost to Laguna Beach residents. Attendees will learn how to recycle yard and food waste into valuable organic fertilizer for the garden using simple composting techniques. Annual Free Compost Giveaway The City, Waste Management, and Tierra Verde Industries are sponsoring the annual compost giveaway in appreciation of the City’s residential green waste recycling program. Please bring gloves, shovels, and containers (up to 5 gallons only). Residents are responsible for shoveling and bagging their own compost (limit of 5 containers per household.) Distribution is on a first come first serve basis for Laguna Beach residents only. (Not for Commercial Use)

Paint, E-Waste & Universal Waste Drop-off and Paper Shredding Event Laguna Beach residents and business operators are invited to participate in the city’s annual free drop-off event to dispose of unwanted paint, batteries, CFL bulbs, and E-Waste in a safe and responsible manner. Free document shredding services will also be available on site. For a full list of materials being accepted visit the city’s website.
