International Baccalaureate Exam Schedule: May 2012 Session 1. Students must be seated in the classroom at the times indicated. 2. Please pay close attention to start times as there are at least two exams with early starts. 3. Minimum stay in an exam period is one hour. Students may not leave the exam period during the final 15 minutes. Therefore, any exam of one hour and 15 minutes duration or less has no early leave time. 4. Where two exams are written back to back, 15 minutes is provided between them. Students may leave the examination room during this time. 5. On Thursday May 17th, students will be required to make their own arrangements to return home following the afternoon exam. Thursday will be a very long day for students taking Spanish Ab Initio. Use the two days prior to rest well! 6. In the event of unavoidable late arrival or absence, for serious reason only, the school must be contacted immediately and the reason for lateness or absence provided. As soon as possible, the lateness or absence must be documented with a note signed by a parent/guardian. In the event of illness, this should be a note signed by a doctor. 7. A student arriving late may be admitted to the examination up to ½ hour past the start time. After that, no admission is permitted. If the lateness is supported by serious reason and documented with a signed note, the student may, on the discretion of the IB Coordinator, be allowed extended time to complete the exam equivalent to the amount of time late (up to ½ hour).
