Introduction to Basic Spinning: This course will provide a basic foundation for the spinning process and the basics of fiber art. The student will learn the basics of various types of spinning wheels and will experience making finished yarn from a product with a wheel. This is hands on class meant to pass on an old tradition and to have fun. The instructor, Gail Johnston, is a local fiber artist and one of the area’s most knowledgeable experts on spinning and fiber products. A spinning wheel will be provided for use during the three weeks. Self Supporting $100 (includes material)
