In this class I will describe the basic concepts of Cloud Computing. I will show you the major functions that cloud computing systems offer and why cloud computing is so popular today. I will also describe some of the risks and limitations of cloud computing. In addition, I will show you some of the major vendors on the market today and describe some ways you can get started with Cloud Computing right away. In the 2nd part of this class I will show you how to sign up for a FREE account with Amazon AWS and give you a tour of some of the features. Next I will show you how to download and install the AWS toolkit for Visual Studio. Finally we will build a simple ASP .NET MVC program and publish it as web application to the Amazon cloud.
