Overview Our summer event provides a shorter-day Conference, allowing office time at each end of the day but maintaining the same Leasehold Forum standard of presentations and debate. Chaired by Anna Favre, the theme of the Conference is Un-Real Estate or Valuing Intangibles. We look at the problems and practices in finding evidence and attaching values to existing and future rights, attempting to prove and quantify a value for an asset not based on the reality of land or an income stream. In addition, we include a legal update. These and other issues will be discussed in the usual Forum format with the full involvement of delegates. Discussion will be open, respecting the Chatham House Rule.

Programme & Speakers Chairman: Anna Favre, Pemberton Greenish Session 1: The Value of Rights James Wyatt, Parthenia What is the evidence for a premium paid for 1967 Act rights and how is it to be valued? Is there substantive market evidence and what is the case for valuing according to an arbitrary percentage uplift? Session 2: Development Values Piers Harrison, Tanfield Chambers There is no doubt that Development Value is a real factor in enfranchisement actions but how is the claimed development opportunity to be proved and evaluated? Session 3: Legal Update Ellodie Gibbons, Tanfield Chambers What we need to know about recent significant decisions and the implications for enfranchisement actions. We look forward to welcoming you to the Conference. Peter Haler Richard Inniss Andrew Pridell Geoff Holden Contact Leasehold Forum at [email protected]
