[email protected] Abstract This research was conducted to support the teachers in managing the classroom progress and increasing student engagement in the classroom. We have implemented a low cost solution with image processing through smart phone application for quiz and paper marking; providing feedback to the teacher about individual student and group performance.

Introduction
Education is a basic right of every person –regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity or economic status. In Pakistan, like other developing countries, student engagement in the classroom is always hard for teachers due to the huge number of students in each of their classes. This happens in all public sector schools which lead to lack of attention and poor understanding of the subject on the part of the students. The policy also stresses the importance of leveraging ICT to improve quality and access at all levels.
Figure 1 Furthermore, the application keeps track of students’ progress through analytics of the assessments, and helps the teacher to manage the groups of students that need extra attention.
ICT is one of the best ways which can create innovative solutions to improve classroom engagement and help teachers to keep all his or her students on the same page.

Technology Used
As the Smartphone and internet become very easily accessible so m-learning should be encouraged that is why we focus to bring it in classroom. This research is about to develop image processing server linked with the Android Application which is provided to teachers. Teacher can prepare a customized quiz for class and save in our Application.

This quiz/paper will be played in the class via audio speakers and students asked to fill the MCQs on the hard copy of Answer sheet.
The application have an inbuilt feature that helps the teacher to manage classes, keeps track of the progress of each class with respect to the syllabus, and also compiles reports for parent- teacher reviews.
This application provides results within time 3-5 seconds as per tested with a five question sheets.

Future Work
We have tested the application with teachers and students of local schools and get lots of important feedback. Next goal is to develop structured application to collaborate the educational department which is working to implement latest ICT solutions in the education.
