esigned for the specific needs of crude oil and petrochemical industries, ISL’s KFP 5G2 combines ultimate ease of use and testing reliability
into a compact, portable unit. These rugged instruments conveniently transport in a carrying case with reagents already in the titration cell, ready for use immediately on arrival. Quickly access a range of sample volumes, densities and weights by means of intuitive arrow cursor controls. The KFP’s flexible power options—standard power connections, internal battery, or car adapter— combined with integrated high speed printer and low drift cell technology make this instrument ideal for use in the laboratory and in the field. Plus, the instrument’s low drift cell includes two connection ports for gas inlet and outlet adapters: an important feature that, coupled with user-selectable start delays,
perfectly suits the KFP for analysis of various sample types—from gases to highly viscous crude oil .
Truly portable coulometric Karl Fischer measurements —from 1 ppm to 100% Patented ACE Control System: Automatically Compensated Errors Measurements in ppm, mg/kg, % and µg water User-selectable start delays for viscous and gas samples Simple operation, accurate results Low drift cell

Ordering Information
KF Series Titrator is a patented system that guarantees the dependability of your measured results. The ACE Control System (Automatically Compensated Errors) provides absolute reliability, eliminating performance fluctuations caused by resistance in the electrolysis cell.
KFP 5G2 Karl Fischer Portable Titrator for automated moisture determinations of crude oil and petroleum products. Includes carrying case and all accessories necessary to immediately begin testing.
CONSTANTLY SYNCHRONIZES RESULTS
Operation
ACE Control System guarantees that the electrolysis current produced by the KFP 5G2 and the count displayed are always correctly synchronized, regardless of changes to resistance in the electrolysis cell. Consider the alternative. Reagents are commonly modified to improve sample miscibility. However, this modification affects resistance/capacitance of the titration cell. In other titration systems, this change can lead to falsely high readings over time; therefore, standard test method procedures prescribe an interval calibration after every 10 determinations to serve as a watchguard of the reagent’s performance. If the results falls outside acceptable limits (10,000±200µg), the reagent is considered “spent” and must be changed. But what about the 10 samples that were tested before the reagent was declared spent? Do you assume those samples were all correctly analyzed? Can you afford to make that assumption? ACE eliminates the guesswork, guaranteeing your results by automatically synchronizing the electrolysis current and displayed count rate. The result? A reliable result, every time!
