- One (1) Consultant Teaching and Certifying Level 1,2 and 3 Vibration Analysis and Balancing and Alignment Training Introduction Proactive Maintenance incorporates Balancing and vibration measurements to assess machinery health. Dynamic balancing extends your equipment’s life by eliminating vibration that destroys mechanical components. We can balance rotors in their own bearings of portable balancing machines. Our balancing machines are available for on-site balancing. Precision On-site balancing drastically reduces downtime and repair costs, while increasing your productivity. Our staff brings extensive balancing experience to your plant for virtually every type, shape, and size of rotor, from turbines to paper mill rolls, and expander turbines/compressors to conventional fans. High/Low Speed Dynamic On-Site balancing is provided by experienced RMI engineers and technicians for in-place balancing requirements. If the equipment can be operated at speed and there is access to the balance correction planes, RMI personnel perform single and Dual-plane balancing on rigid and flexible rotors. Their skill and expertise, in combination with sophisticated instrumentation, assure you of a precision tolerance with a minimal amount of service time or machinery operation. The result is a precision balance and a quick return to service. During balancing, very close attention is paid to other conditions which may be adversely affecting operation of the machinery. Any such conditions detected while balancing are addressed and resolved at the appropriate time with respect to the balancing program. After balancing, rotor balance sensitivities are permanently recorded. This affords one shot trim balancing

capability in any future balancing scenario. All service is followed up with a written report detailing findings, corrections, recommendations, etc. Imbalance causes high levels of mechanical stress and vibration that are transferred directly to the bearings resulting in a proportional reduction in normal bearing life. With a few basic parameters the vbBalancer instruments calculate acceptable imbalance levels to ensure machinery operates within international ISO 1940 guidelines.

Services: Turbine Balancing, Pump Balancing, Motor Balancing, Centrifuge Balancing, Fan Balancing (Cooling Towers, AHU, Blowers),Compressor Balancing II

Objective -

To correct the Unbalance problem that cause of high vibration Lengthen the life of machine by early detection and correcting unbalance faults. To reduced energy & maintenance cost To eliminate catastrophic failures by correcting the root cause of high vibration To Increase production output by eliminating machine shutdown To enhance safety by eliminating catastrophic failures To improve product quality To reduce inventory cost

III Scope of work 1. Equipment preparation, clearing and gathering related physical data for equipment background and analysis 2. Set-up of balancing kit in every bearing, single or dual plane balancing 3. Start-up of equipment to operating speed (RPM) 4. Measurement of initial balancing data to every bearing points. 5. Attached balancing trial weights by welding (or bolting) to access point on plane 1 6. Test run unit & gathering of balancing data to bearing points 7. Attached balancing trial weights by welding (or bolting) to access point on plane 2 8. Test run unit & determine required correction counter weights on both planes as computed by balancing instrument

9. Installation of counter weights by welding to access points on both planes 10.Test run unit & determine if vibration is within the required limits or balancing tolerance. Otherwise, trim balance 11.Repeat the procedure to reach the acceptable tolerance limit base on ISO standard 12. Safely start-up machine and verify vibration magnitude 13.Document balancing and vibration results
