Job Title: Development Manager
Position Summary Fundraising is a critical enabler of Ta’leef Collective’s efforts in the community. Ta’leef Collective has experienced significant growth in its operating budget over the past two years, driven by the opening of its Chicago campus, an expansion of its core programs and services in Chicago and Fremont, and the launching of new programming to meet community needs. The Development Manager will be based out of our Fremont office and will be a creative, community-oriented, and self-motivated non-profit development professional. The Development Manager is responsible to cultivate existing and new donors nationwide, develop and execute online/social media fundraising campaigns, and oversee all development operations. This individual must have a passion for non-profit work and the drive and focus to organize and launch successful campaigns and events, while ensuring day to day gift processing and database management is carried out with excellence. He/she reports to the Executive Director, and works regularly with Program staff and the Board Development Committee.
Essential Functions: 1. Participate in setting strategy and executing the annual fundraising plan, managing all aspects of gift processing, development operations, reporting and analytics, and growing revenue across all sources and funds. 2. Establish and maintain ties with various community stakeholders and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors nationwide, coordinating visits, managing campaigns and events and maintaining donor communications – all working closely with the Board Development Committee. 3. Manage and grow the monthly donor program, annual campaigns and fundraising events, and oversee email, social media, and phone communications with donors. 4. Use qualitative and quantitative evaluations to analyze fundraising efficacy, produce periodic gift summaries, queries and reports, and track progress toward the plan.
5. Oversee private and institutional foundation grant inquiries, applications, and proposals and maintain timely grant reports for existing grants. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Fundraising, community outreach, or sales experience Adept at all major social media platforms and a saavy content producer Marketing writing and marketing communications background or experience Familiarity with donor relational databases, CRMs, and running queries & reports Passionate about philanthropic giving Grant writing experience a plus Must live in the Bay Area, or willing to relocate Familiarity and comfort with the American Muslim community

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time salaried position with benefits, for a minimum of forty hours per week.
