You are aware that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced Problem Solving Assessment (PSA) for Class IX & XI w.e.f 2012- ‘13.
The PSA will be held on 18th Jan. 2014 (Saturday) from 10 AM to 12.00 Noon. The improvement Test of PSA for Class X also will be held on the same day & same time.
Attendance will be compulsory on 18th Jan. 2014 ( Saturday)
The Sample question paper and sample OMR Answer Sheet are available in our School Library as well as on CBSE website: www.cbse.nic.in under Academic Section.

The Salient features of the Scheme are: 1. It is mandatory for all students of Class IX & XI to appear in PSA. 2. There is no specific syllabus for PSA. It will assess the life skills relating to (a) Quantitative Reasoning (b) Qualitative Reasoning & (c) Language Conventions. 3. There will be 60 items of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and carry 90 Marks. The items will incorporate 21st Century Skills ( Creative Thinking, Decision Making, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving and Communication) 4. The Scores of PSA will be counted towards FA – 4 which is 10% of total assessments of Class IX. The score will be reflected in one language, Mathematics, Science & Social Science. 5. The students of Class XI will get a certificate from the CBSE on the ‘PSA’ by July 2014.
