The Opportunity o Design and implement an engaging and user-friendly mobile-based platform that: o serves as the core of our users' experience/interaction with m.Paani o houses data from numerous touchpoints o delivers content-based rewards o Create a learning engine for data analytics, data mining, and generating
sophisticated insights towards the goal of gaining a comprehensive understanding of our users and communities
o Conduct surveys of the ever-changing technology landscape and communicate
technical knowledge and vision of both current and future technologies related to m.Paani's vision
o Contribute to the development of a technology roadmap for scale
The Individual
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills, experience and attributes:
Required
o Passion for using the power of technology to positively impact underserved communities
o Experience with Python development and object-oriented design
o Experience building web applications using MVC frameworks(Django is a plus)
o Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL
o Familiarity with JavaScript (jQuery)
o Good grasp of Data Structures and Algorithms

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Loves the intensity, chaos and passion of start-ups, and wants to work with a funloving team who truly enjoy working together to realize a shared dream o Team player who is takes ownership of work, is detail and deadline oriented, with a strong work ethic o Bachelors of Engineering or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school, or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
o Successfully developed and launched a new technology product/service, working in a small team and/or start-up environment o Exposure to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus
o Experience conducting and analyzing user studies
Compensation & Logistics This is a full-time or fellowship opportunity based on the applicant. Compensation will be in line with an early stage social enterprise; negotiable based on qualifications and experience. The position is based in Mumbai, India, and the candidate must live in Mumbai or be willing to relocate.
