With the SMA OPC Server, SMA Solar Technology AG now offers a software tool that enables a standardized OPC connection to all current SMA devices. With the international communication standard, information can be easily exchanged with all connected devices – and with high-level security of data trans-

mission. Familiarity with the SMA-specific communication protocol is thus no longer necessary. Easy installation The SMA OPC can very easily be installed on any server PC with a Windows operating system. The configuration and installation assistant guides the user comfortably and intuitively through the installation, and retrieves all relevant information. The OPC connection to the SMA devices is established in no time at all. Communication functions via a local network and via the Internet.

Free choice of OPC client and visualization software Visualization, control and monitoring of the plant are usually made by the OPC client system. The SMA OPC server works with all development and visualization systems which have an integrated OPC client. This includes InTouch, WEBfactory, WinCC. High-performance client solutions can be quickly developed. The SMA OPC Server and the application can be installed on the same computer. The software thus provides plant operators with reliable, customized and cost-effective solutions.

Integration into existing control systems Large-scale plant operators who already use an OPCbased communication center can easily integrate the PV plant with SMA devices into the existing system.
