ABSTRACT

DISCUSSION AND RESULT

Computer based calculation is more efficient than manual calculation in solving a complex and detailed problem. In this research, method fuzzy logics was used to determine the strategy for splitting the traffic road based on vehicle types. Fuzzy value obtained by combining both parameters saturation degree and speed of free-flow. By crisping the index of traffic road splitting based on service level, the decision can be taken. The solution for congestion problem by splitting the traffic road has been effective proven in decreasing the side disturbance that consists of pedestrian, un-moving vehicles, slow vehicles, and in / out vehicles values.

RESEARCH METHODS

Value

Two methods that we practically used in our study: literature review and observation. In addition, the method fuzzy logics is a main method used in calculation to technically produce the objective decision.

MEMBERSHIP FUNCTION Three types of membership function operated to determine the degree of saturation, free flow speed, and level of service.
