How connected are you at church? By getting involved, you can feel more a part of the church body. It gives you a chance
MAY 6/7 BOB MERRIT T
When the church is functioning at its best, there’s nothing like it on the planet. It’s a place where people can find support, community, healing, and restoration. And together, we can have an incredible impact on the world around us—more than we ever could on our own.
Discussion Questions 1. Why is it important to go to church? What is so impactful about the body of Christ being gathered together? 2. Read Acts 2:42-47. What were some characteristics of the early church? How do we see those being lived out in today’s church? How do you see them being lived out in your own life? 3. Bob talked about finding someone who is running in the same spiritual direction as you who can pick you up and carry you through the tough patches. Who is that person in your life? Who are you supporting? 4. What things in your life are competing for your time and attention throughout the week? What would have to change in your life for your relationship with Christ to be your top priority?
Challenge How connected are you at church? By getting involved, you can feel more a part of the church body. It gives you a chance to use your gifts to serve others and to get to know others in this community. Stop by the Next Steps space at church next weekend or next and see how you can get more connected.
Commit to Memory Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a necessary part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27
