God values every single human soul so much that he would drop everything and search for that one person who is far from him. Jesus’ mission was to seek and save the lost. And He’s given that same mission to each and every one of His followers.
Discussion Questions 1. What are things in your life that you value the most? If you lost one of those things, to what lengths would you go to find it? 2. Read Matthew 28:19. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are called to reach lost people. What are you doing in your own life to fulfill this calling? How could God use you to reach people for Him? (Think about the various circles of people you encounter on a daily basis.) 3. Read 1 Peter 3:15 and Exodus 4:10-12. We don’t have to be brilliant or eloquent to talk to others about Christ. God simply tells us to go, and promises he’ll go with us, giving us the words we need. How prepared are you to share your story? If someone were to ask you the reason for the hope that you have, what would your response be?
Challenge This week, keep your eyes open for one or two people in your life who are lost, who need Christ. Make an intentional effort to show them kindness and demonstrate the love of Christ. Pray that they will be able to see a difference in the way you live your life and that God will open up opportunities for conversations with them.
