Creating Timers Creating a Basic Timer in PowerPoint

PowerPoint Timers Support Time Management and Organization 1. Insert numbers and either graphics or a table on your PowerPoint slide. For this example, we’ll make a 5 minute timer.

2. Duplicate the first slide as many times as needed to create additional slides. Revise the numbers and the graphics or tables on those slides to reflect the time interval. For this example the 5 slide was revised to become 4, 3, 2, and 1 slides.

3. Add a “Time’s Up” slide if desired, with clip art, animations, and/or sound effects.

4. Select the Animations tab (in Microsoft versions 2007 and earlier).

OR…Select the Transitions tab (in Microsoft version 2010).

5. Go to Advance Slide. Select the checkbox. Enter the time interval for slides to advance.

6. Select Apply to All. 7. View the PowerPoint in Slide Show mode time intervals you set.
