We develop inquisitive minds in the Geography Department and are always asking questions that generate a deep Courseforsummary [Insert department] appreciation both the Human and the Physical worlds, whilst nurturing the idea that to truly understand Geography is to appreciate that there is no dividing line between the two sides to the subject. We begin with the Human world and the ever changing population size and structure of the planet at a variety of levels. Next we combine these ideas with an understanding of settlement and the challenges that an urban world Course summary poses. Complementing the study of the Human World is our work on the Natural Environment, Landscape Processes, Climate Change and Natural Hazards. In the final year of the IGCSE students study a variety of units that empower them to really make sense of how our Course planet developssummary economically and the inherent challenges that are posed by the demands on the finite resources. "I have loved studying IGCSE Geography as it has allowed me to learn about how the world works and how people effect it. At Bede’s the subject is made even more interesting as the teachers are very passionate and clearly really enjoy their work. Their love of the subject it comes across in their teaching and every lesson is fun." Students on the IGCSE course embark on a journey of learning about the vibrant and contrasting world in which we live. The planet is a dynamic place, and the people who live on it are everybody’s business.”
