DATA to DATA PORT (D2D) : Blue connector of D2D Cable plugs into the upgradeable vehicle interface module. OPTION A: - This option is used to connect to the USB Bootloader adaptor & computer to download & flash vehicle interface firmware. OPTION B: - This option is used when two D2D compatible vehicle interface modules or systems communicate with each other. Compatible remote control systems can securely communicate via the D2D cable to transmit & receive data commands which initiate specific vehicle function such as door locks & immobilizer override and /or request information from the vehicle such as status of entry points (doors) or ambient temperature, diesel glow plug etc… D2D protocol represents the doorway to vehicle integration...As an enhanced security feature, this upgradeable vehicle interface module automatically detects when the D2D protocol is present and deactivates the analogue override input wire (brown wire) ensuring that this module can only be activated by an authorized user.

Firmware: AMDL
Description: American Door Lock Interface & GM Immobilizer Override Section C
VEHICLE TYPE PROGRAMMING: The interface kit is designed to operate on any one of 7 possible vehicle types. Once the 10 pin harness wires have been connected, the next step is to program the interface module to operate on the appropriate vehicle type. *Refer to the Vehicle Type Chart.. 1) Plug the 10 PIN harness into the module. LED will turn ON solid. 2) Turn the ignition key to the ON position. LED will turn off then it will begin a flash pattern that matches the vehicle type selection. (The default vehicle type selection is Type 1.) *If the module has already been programmed to the vehicle, LED will flash 4 times. If this happens, skip to step 4. 3) To change the vehicle type, press and release the program button until LED flash pattern matches the selected vehicle type. LED flash pattern will match the Vehicle Type selected. Example: 1 flash = Type 1, 2 flashes = Type 2 and so on. 4) To save the vehicle type selection, press and hold the program button until the LED flashes rapidly. The module will then exit the programming. The module is now programmed.*If LED comes on solid, turn the key to start the engine. Section D

INSTALLATION NOTES:
! The module will detect all door triggers through the data line.
When the module detects an open door through the data line, it will send a negative pulse (-)
trigger on the PURPLE/WHITE wire (Door trigger output).
! For Type 1 and 4 vehicles, the front doors and rear hatch ONLY are monitored via the data line.
The rear doors are triggered separately and are not monitored via the data line. You need to use the PINK wire to detect rear doors (Option Programming Mode 2). These wires are usually found at the BCM

Press on the factory remote button which you want to associate to the wire(s). 3. The LED turns off, the procedure is now successful. 4. Take off wire(s) from ground. The function is now programmed. It is possible to program multiple functions on the same wire(s). EXAMPLE: FOR TRUNK RELEASE: it might be required to unlock doors (disarm factory alarm), trunk release and then relock doors (to rearm factory alarm). To program these three functions on the same wire(s), go to step 1 and then repeat step 2 for each of the desired functions, but not exceeding a 1 second delay between each press of the factory remote button function. The functions will be replayed in the same order as they were learned. *Default value

DATA to DATA PORT (D2D) : Blue connector of D2D Cable plugs into the upgradeable vehicle interface module. OPTION A: - D2D Port used to connect to USB Bootloader adaptor & computer to download & flash vehicle interface firmware. OPTION B: - D2D Port used to connect to the data port of a remote control system equipped with ClearCode Vehicle Interface Protocol. Remote control systems designed with ClearCode VIP can securely communicate via the D2D cable to transmit & receive data commands which initiate specific vehicle function such as lock doors & arm alarm and/or request information from the vehicle such as status of all entry points (doors) or possibly the temperature or RPM of the engine. The possibilities are endless.... TECH NOTE: When installing the doorlock/alarm interface module in conjunction with a remote car starter, and a vehicle equipped with an OEM alarm system: The vehicle’s KEYSENSE wire must be pulsed before start in order to properly disarm. *NOTE: TOYDL may NOT work if vehicle not equipped with Factory OEM
