Introduction Oracle’s SuperCluster runs the Oracle Database, the SAP central instance, application or web server, and Oracle Enterprise Manager management software along with all your SAP applications. This is ideal for customers who need a multi-purpose system with SAP installed but also need to run additional enterprise or multi-tiered applications to consolidate and virtualize within their data center. The Oracle SuperCluster T5-8 and M6-32 are general-purpose, engineered solutions that run SAP applications next to a wide range of complementary enterprise applications with the highest levels of performance and mission critical reliability. The Oracle SuperCluster T5-8 and M6-32 utilizes high performance software from Oracle Exadata combined with SPARC T5/M6 servers, Oracle Exadata Storage Servers, ZFS Storage Appliance, Infiniband technology, and Oracle Solaris 10 and Solaris 11.

SAP Support The following configurations are supported: - SAP on SuperCluster uses the Oracle standard SuperCluster configurations and is available in either a full-rack or a half-rack configuration - All types of Oracle VM Server for SPARC (previously LDOMs) are supported. - Oracle 12c and 11gR2 use the Exadata storage servers running Solaris 11. - Legacy Oracle databases, 3rd party databases and SAP- and non-SAP applications can run in the application domains. The virtualization capabilities allow you to run four generations of Solaris, from Solaris 8 to Solaris 11.
