There has also been an increase in the harassment and discrimination directed at trans people on college campuses. This “teach in” is intended for educators, staff and students who are interested in learning more about trans inclusivity. Attendees will • understand lived experiences and classroom experiences of trans students and faculty; • understand basic terminology and cisgender privilege; • explore their own gender identities/gender expression; • understand language use and the impact it can have in the classroom; • have an opportunity to ask questions of trans students and faculty. Faculty and Staff are especially encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served. Please email tberg@winona. edu to reserve a spot in either session; morning and afternoon sessions offer the same content (limit: 40 per session).
