Description WAGO Ethernet-Controllers 2.0 750-880, 750-881 and 750-882 provide more memory and performance. Ethernet-Controller 2.0 targets are available with CoDeSys 2.3.9.25 and above. This application note shows needed steps to move target for an existing PLC program from 750-841 to 750-88x. Mayor steps are: - Check used libraries - Changing target settings - Check “PLC configuration” - Update communication parameters.

2.2 Check used libraries If you utilze libraries build before 2006, you should update the project to current versions. Contact [email protected] for details.

2.3 Change target Open existing CoDeSys project. Activate register card “Resources”. Double click on “Target Settings”.

Select Ethernet-Controller 750-88x from the list and press button “OK”.

Ignore warning about deleting of PLC configuration, and press button “YES”.

2.4 Check PLC-Configuration If you do not want to rename or edit PLC configuration jump to the next chapter. WAGO-I/O-PRO in version 2.3.9.25 is shipped with a new version of WAGO-IO configuration dialog The former WAGO-IO configuration dialog was completely replaced by a new version (EA_DLL.dll, v 2.1.0.1). The most important modification is that changing the variable-names within the CoDeSys configuration tree is not possible anymore! This action has to be done now in the modified WAGO-IO configuration dialog. To perform any changes on your configuration, you have to open the WAGOIO configuration dialog.

Therefore click with the right mouse button on any item in the configuration tree and select one of the items “Insert element” from the context menu.

This opens the new WAGO -IO configuration dialog.

Now, within this view you can manage your configuration as you was able to change in the previous versions.

If you want to edit the variable-names of the IO-points, you have to switch to the “Input / Output” tab and change the values in the column „Name“. Therefore you have to select the item, which you want to rename by a mouse click and then click again or press the “F2” key to start editing.

2.5 Update communication parameters Create a new communication set for your 750-88x.

Select Device-driver and setup parameters.

2.6 Compile, download and run application Select “Clean all” from menu “Project”.

Select “Rebuild all” from menu “Project”. Select “Login” from menu “Online”.

At the end let the application run with “Online -> Run” or [F5].
