Spacecraft Informatics is the application of information system and information theory in the design, development and operation of spacecraft. Spacecraft is a complex system which involves the integration of hardware and software systems, it requires information modeling, simulation, optimization and decision support methods and techniques. Informatics can be used to represent in-orbit spacecraft, satellites, space-stations of any types in deep-space exploration missions from ground control, user payload, space weather and conditions, remote sensing and telemetry, and many more spaceflight missions and activities of designing, forecasting, planning and control. The motivation of this Special Issue is to conduct research into the area of spacecraft informatics with the goal of directly contributing to the present and future space exploration and spacecraft development. The special issue aims to discuss the following potential topics but not limited to:: Deep-space exploration and technology Space systems: modeling, simulation and optimization Decision Support System (DSS) and Knowledge Management System (KMS) in spacecraft informatics Information architectures for spacecraft design and development Autonomous agents and robots Orbit tracking and control Vision-aided system and navigation system for spacecraft Spacecraft resilience, security, reliability and redundancy Big data and telematics applications for spacecraft control Risk and damage assessment and control Internet-of-Things (IoT), sensors, data fusion theory and applications Deep learning and Neural Networks Spacecraft applications of Artificial Intelligences (AI) and Expert Systems (ES) Spacecraft energy managements and performance measurements Economic, human, environmental and legal aspects of spacecraft informatics Why Contribute to Enterprise Information Systems? Your article will be published in a widely read and cited journal (impact factor 1.908) enabling you to effectively contribute to the development of the research area Your research will be validated by a robust double-blind peer review process You can share you research using our open access options You can follow the impact of your research using My Authored Works

Submission Instructions Prospective authors should submit: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/teis Submitting authors must answer ‘yes’ to a question of “Is this submission for a special issue?” and then select “Spacecraft Informatics” from drop-down menu.
