Little Tots Sunshine Childcare February 2014 Newsletter

Monthly Review During the month of January the preschoolers and some of the two year olds were introduced to high frequency sight words. The children were introduced to the words “and”, “I”, “see”, and “the”. Several fun learning activities were used to reiterate the sight words including tracing, writing sentences, cutting, pasting, painting, reading and even singing. The children appeared to really enjoy these activities and we look forward to continuing with additional sight words each month. We also read several books and created fun activities and crafts around our January winter theme. Some of the books we explored included “Polar bear, polar bear what do you hear”, “Flip Flop” “Snow Day!”, ”My Daddy: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”, “I Knew an old lady that swallowed some snow” and more.

Valentines Day Party! Little Tots Sunshine Childcare will have our Valentines Day Party on Friday February 14th. We will celebrate the day with fun crafts and yummy snacks. If your child would like to share valentines and treats with their friends, I will send home a list of all the children.
