Guest Editorial Special Issue on ISCAS 2011
T
his Special Issue of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS—PART I is dedicated to some of the best papers originally presented at the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, held in May 2011. These papers reflect the rich breath of topics covered at the Symposium and present the latest advancement in the areas of Analog and Mixed-Mode Circuits and Systems, Digital Circuits and Systems and VLSI, Circuits and Systems for Communications, Nonlinear Circuits and Systems, Power Systems and Power Electronic Circuits, and Sensory Systems. For this special issue 56 contributions have been invited and 21 have been accepted to form this current Special Issue. Selecting a subset of papers from its high quality sessions proved to be a difficult task. However, we are confident that the papers included in this issue are representative of the key scientific contributions seen at the conference and will be highly appreciated by our readership.
To conclude, we would like to thank all of the authors for their contributions and all of the reviewers for their thorough work which ensured timely publication of the manuscripts.
