V. Attendance Policy: Regular and prompt attendance is expected of all students enrolled at Pulaski Technical College and is necessary to maintain acceptable grades. In the event of absence because of illness or emergency, students are responsible for making up any work missed due to the absence. Remember there is no makeup for missed labs or quizzes. You must be physically in the classroom when the class begins to be counted as present. There are no excused absences for this class. A student may be administratively dropped from this course if that student is absent twice the number of weekly class meetings (i.e., class meets three times a week, student is absent six times). Being tardy to a class will result in a loss of points for labs and/or quizzes. The instructor will take role at the beginning of each class period/lab by the use of a student sign-in sheet. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain any class assignments missed. For lab assignments, it will not be possible for the student to make up due to time constraints. Agencies granting financial assistance may be notified of the violation of the attendance policy by students receiving financial aid.
VI. Classroom Policies The Pulaski Technical College Student Handbook rules and regulations will be enforced in this class at all times. PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES: Please turn all cell telephones, pagers and/or other personal communications devices off before entering this class. LAB POLICIES: The instructor and students will adhere to posted lab policies for this classroom. Students finding they are unable to abide by these policies will be asked to leave class permanently. All students are required to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. There will be no eating or drinking at the lab stations. Horseplay will not be tolerated! Lab Assignments: All students are expected to fully participate in lab activities. Reading Assignments: Due to the nature of this material, each student must have read the Chapters to be covered prior to the class period. We will be covering only the major points of discussion in each class period. This is a lab based course. Class time will go to lab 2
projects first and lecture last. This increases the importance of study outside of class. This class will take a substantial time commitment.
VII. Grading There will be a on-line exam on each Chapter and a final exam in this course. These exams will only be taken once. The on-line tests must be taken in class. There will be no makeup for missed quizzes or lab assignments. There will be a makeup on-line test day during week 15. You can only makeup one missed test!

These student evaluations are very important to the improvement in the quality of instruction and course materials. All results are anonymous and shared with the faculty only after the semester is over and grades have been posted.
