The multimodal integration of EEG and fMRI provides several advantages over use of individual techniques. In case of epilepsy, the Blood Oxygenated Level Dependent (BOLD) signal change is hypothesized to occur due to interictal spike. In this study, we focus on Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) processing of EEG correlated fMRI data. The EEG spikes are used as labelling tool for the General Linear Model (GLM) in fMRI data processing. The statistical tests (t-test or F-test) are applied after estimating the parameters of GLM in SPM toolbox in MATLAB.
