U2 will be in town next week. In an effort to make your concert experience as smooth as possible, we have compiled a list of items pertaining to the show and BC Place Stadium that you may have questions about. We hope that any and all of your questions will be answered here. Thanks, and enjoy the show!
Show times Doors will open at 5pm. Black Eyed Peas will be on stage at 7:00pm. U2 will follow on through the night.
Entry to the venue Please take note of your section and refer to the map attached to find the closest point of entry, this will ensure quick entry and help you avoid long lineups. Disabled Access: All gates or Wheelchair entrance is on Pacific boulevard. (Note, disabled seating is no longer located on Level 3; it is distributed throughout the stands on both Level, 2 & 4. A thorough pat-down will take place at all entry gates. To expedite the pat-down process, it is suggested that you avoid bringing bags or back-packs. Doors are at 5pm. Try to come early to beat the rush.
FLOOR TICKET HOLDERS Floor ticket holders can enter at any gate. However, for the quickest access, enter via Gate E, using ramps. We will have a designated queue process in place to ensure you have a quick entrance process into the venue. If you are coming to the venue early to line up for floor access, please do not come any earlier than 8am on Wednesday October 28, 2009. Queues will be created and maintained starting at Plaza of Nations. We will have washrooms and concessions on site at the designated queuing area. PLEASE NOTE: NO IN/OUT PRIVLEDGES WILL BE GRANTED. ONCE YOU LEAVE THE STADIUM, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RE-ENTER. FLOOR TICKET HOLDER – KEEP YOUR TICKET WITH YOU. REPLACEMENT TICKETS WILL NOT BE RE-ISSUED IF YOU LOSE IT WITHIN THE VENUE.
Picking Up Your Tickets at the Venue If you do not have your tickets yet, we strongly encourage you to pick them up in advance of the show. This will help alleviate line ups at the box office will call points and make your concert going experience more enjoyable. There are five (5) box offices at BC Place Stadium, Gates A, B, D, G, and H. Will call box offices open at 10am for Gate B. Gate A will open at 3:30pm. All other box offices will be open at 4:30pm. You will require your confirmation number, photo ID and the credit card used to pick up your tickets.
Seating This show has Reserved Seats in the stands, and General Admission tickets for the floor. Floor ticket holders will access the floor from Level 2 ramps at Sections 12 & 43. To ensure you get in as quick as possible, take note of the designated gate entry on your ticket. This gate entry will ensure you enter closest to your section. It also helps alleviate long waits at some gates, and empty gates on the other side of the building. Please refer to the map below so you know where you should enter.
‘Red Zone’ Ticket holders If you have a Red Zone ticket, you will have a designated entrance point at Gate B. You may pick up your tickets any time after 10am. Doors will open for all patrons at 5pm. Once you have your ticket, you will be escorted down from Gate B to Red Zone 1 via stairs at the base of Section 221, or Red Zone 2 via stairs at the base of Section 233. Red Zone is a standing only area. There are not seats.
VIP Package Tickets If you have purchased one of the VIP tickets which includes dinner in the Edgewater Lounge, your express entrance point will be at Gate B. The box office will be open at 10:00am. You will be able to access the venue at 5pm. The Edgewater Lounge is a 30 second walk from Gate B.
Rogers Wireless Box Office If you have attained your ticket through Rogers Wireless Box Office, your express entrance point will be at Gate H ‘VIP Suite Entrance’. The Wireless Box Office will be open at 5:00pm. You will be able to access the venue at 5pm.
Transit Schedule There are two ways to access BC Place from Stadium/Chinatown Skytrain. Walk up the stairs to Beatty Street, where Gate A is just a five minute walk away, or go down the stairs to Expo Boulevard and the Stadium is just a short walk to the right. For those traveling by bus, all suburban services connect with downtown Vancouver’s #15 and #17 buses, which provide closest drop-off services for BC Place. Bicycle For those being green, for your convenience we are offering a bike valet which will be located by the Terry Fox memorial.
Parking The cost to park in lots closest to the Stadium ranges from $10.00 to $25.00 during events. In other nearby parking lots, the rates vary from $3.00 to $6.00. There is plenty of parking and accessibility for persons with disabilities in Lot 310 adjacent to the Stadium site. Drop off location is at Plaza of Nations located on Pacific Boulevard.
Directions to the Venue GETTING YOU HERE HIGHWAY # 1 • take Grandview exit • follow 12th Avenue • turn right onto Cambie Street and cross bridge • exit right onto Pacific Blvd. or • take 1st Avenue exit • follow 1st Avenue until you are in front of Science World • turn right onto Quebec Street • turn left onto Expo Blvd. HIGHWAY #99 (from the U.S., take I5 to the Peace Arch Border Crossing and then Hwy. #99) • drive north on Oak Street • turn right onto 41st Avenue • turn left onto Cambie Street • cross Cambie Street Bridge • exit right onto Pacific Blvd.
NORTH SHORE (VIA LIONS GATE BRIDGE) • take Georgia Street • turn right onto Thurlow • turn left onto Nelson • keep to the left (do NOT go onto the Cambie Street Bridge); drive through to Pacific Blvd. NORTH SHORE (via 2nd Narrows Bridge) • drive South through the Cassiar Tunnel • turn right onto 1st Avenue • turn right onto Quebec Street (at Science World) • turn left onto Expo Blvd. (leads right through available parking lots)

Special exceptions Working animals will be allowed on site (i.e. guide dogs). Designated seating areas for any patron requiring wheel chair or special seating consideration are paid tickets only through Ticketmaster.
Food and beverages There will be a wide variety of food and beverage options on site. Purchases will be made at point of sale. Fixed/permanent stands accept cash, credit and debit cards, where as portable food and beer stands accept cash only. Alcohol will be served from 5pm until U2 goes on stage.
ATM For your convenience there will be ATM machines throughout the venue. They are located at Level 1 at Sections 12 & 16 Level 2 at Sections 12, 16, 29, 34, 43, & 54 Level 4 at Sections 12, 29, 43, & 54
Taxi stands Located at Plaza of Nations on Pacific Boulevard.
