Tours General campus tours Times: These run throughout the day and leave approximately every 30 minutes. There is no need to reserve a space. Location: The campus tour meeting point is situated by the Library helpdesk in Heart. We believe the best people to show you around our facilities are our current students. Who better to give you a real insight into what it’s like to be a student at the University of West London?
If you would like to view the teaching facilities at our Brentford site, tours run approximately once an hour from 12.30pm. The waiting room for tours to Brentford is BY.GF.002. Library Tours Times: 11am, 12noon, 1pm and 2pm. Location: The tour meeting point is located at the Library helpdesk in Heart. Students spend a lot of their time in the Library, so why not speak to one of our dedicated Library staff, who can help you make the most of the resources available? As well as our extensive stock of specialist books and journals, the Library provides fully-networked, open access work stations, scanners, colour printers, DVDs and audio playback.

London College of Music tours Times: The tours will run every 30 minutes and will take approximately 40 minutes. Location: The tour meeting point is by the Library helpdesk in Heart. Tours will include LCM recording studios, the media resource centre, Lawrence Hall Theatre technical gallery, MAC Labs, radio studio and production studios for musical theatre and theatre studies. Nursing and Midwifery Simulation Centre tours Times: These run regularly throughout the day from 11am with the last tour at 2pm. Location: Please go to one of our help points in the Street or Heart. The waiting room is BY.GF.002. Our Simulation Centre has state-of-the-art facilities to allow for hands-on training. The Centre is able to replicate theatre, critical care, A&E (Accident and Emergency), midwifery, ward-based and community environments, supporting the educational needs of students from a range of disciplines. It is located on our Brentford site, eight minutes by the free UWL shuttle bus from our Ealing site. More information on the shuttle bus can be found on page 25 of this booklet.
Accommodation tours Times: These run regularly throughout the day from 11am with the last tour at 2.30pm. Location: Please go to one of our help points in the Street or Heart. The waiting room is BY.GF.002. Paragon is our award-winning student accommodation which has 810 ensuite single study bedrooms, each with communal kitchen/dining areas, fitted to the highest standards including WiFi. It is located on our Brentford site, eight minutes by the free UWL shuttle bus from our Ealing site. More information on the shuttle bus can be found on page 25 of this booklet.

Wellbeing support Our Wellbeing Advisors work with students who have a wide range of disabilities and mental health diagnoses, including but by no means restricted to: •

long term medical conditions (such as HIV, cancer, multiple sclerosis)

Mentoring The Mentoring team provides one-to-one support through drop-in sessions, which are available daily, offering guidance and support to help with any aspect of a student’s experience. The service also provides on-going support by pairing students with peers who are working at a level above them on the same or a similar course.

There is a regular rail service to and from London Paddington (approx 10 mins), Slough (20-30 mins) and Reading (40 mins). The M4 motorway is a few minutes’ drive away from Ealing (Junction 2), and the A40, M40 and M25 are all easily accessible.

Improved teaching facilities including a radio studio, musical theatre spaces and specialist architecture and civil engineering facilities. The Paul Hamlyn library opened at the Ealing site in September 2015 and boasts three new floors of library resources. Mock Court Room opened in February 2015 and provides realistic surroundings for students to practise mooting. New auditorium seating over 220.

A brand new Students’ Union with a bar, lounge, gym and modern café. London College of Music students benefit from a state-of-the-art performance centre.
