Select Edition Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Report The Select Edition Certification Inspection The Jaguar Select Edition Certification process was designed to ensure that all Select Edition Pre-Owned Jaguars meet the high level of cosmetic appearance and mechanical operation expected by Jaguar customers. Jaguar has developed this detailed set of certification inspection standards to assist dealer technicians in performing the inspection. Each pre-owned Jaguar must be evaluated using the Select Edition 140-point mechanical and cosmetic inspection form, before it can be enrolled in the program. When complete, a signed certification checklist must be retained in the vehicle’s service file for at least two years, with copies of resulting repair orders attached. Jaguar retailers are required to include a clean CarFax Vehicle History Report in the customer delivery portfolio with the delivery of every Jaguar Select Edition vehicle. Retailers are also required to keep a copy of the CarFax Vehicle History report in the customer’s deal jacket for at least two years. The CarFax Vehicle History report should be reviewed prior to beginning the inspection process to identify stoppers. The report includes: 1) Accident Check (frame damage). 2) Mileage Accuracy Check (TMU). 3) Lemon Check (reacquired vehicle).
