CG Flex TX7 inks have been developed for use with all mainstream in line and CI UV flexo presses. Careful selection of photoinitiators, resins and monomers ensures compliance to relevant raw material use guidelines. TX7 inks are ITX and benzophenone free. Increased pigmentation allows minimal film weight, improving print quality and reducing ink usage by up to 30%* for spot colours. Excellent flow properties allow the inks to be pumped into chambered or reverse angle doctor blade units. Unique resin chemistry imparts exceptional gloss and adhesion on a wide range of substrates. Fully compatible with our extensive range of clear coatings. INK CHARACTERSITIC
CG FLEX TX7 FLEXO INK RANGE TECHNICAL DATA SHEET VERSATILE UV CURING FLEXOGRAPHIC INKS EXHIBITING EXCELLENT RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES, ENHANCED COLOUR STRENGTH AND EXCEPTIONAL CURE SPEEDS. SUITABLE FOR USE WITH THE MOST DEMANDING COMBINATIONS OF LOW ANILOX VOLUMES AND HD PRINTING PLATES.
BENEFIT
High colour strength
Very low anilox cell volumes can be used, reducing ink usage by up to 30%* for spot colours
Excellent reactivity
Low foam formulation
Press speeds up to 200mpm can be achieved depending on lamp output and curing system Ink will not foam or set up in the ink tray/chamber
Optimised rheology
User friendly ink flow with minimal dot gain
Superior Adhesion
A wide range of substrates can be used including papers, films and foils, reducing ink inventory
Applications: Recommended for a wide range of applications including self adhesive labels, in-mould and wrap around labels, cartons and tickets as well as sachets, pouches and low level shrink sleeves. Substrate Suitability: PE, PP, PET, BOPP, PVC - We recommend that non top coated synthetics are pre treated to achieve a minimum surface energy level of 42 - 44 dynes/cm. Some materials may require considerably higher dyne levels than this in order to achieve good ink key. Testing is advised. Avoid use of corona treatment on top coated substrates. Coated and uncoated papers and boards - While these inks have been developed to exhibit excellent hold out, when using very absorbent stocks we advise that you avoid low coat weight and slow press speed combinations. Coated and semi coated chemi-thermal materials. We recommend press trials prior to use on uncoated thermal stocks. Anilox Recommendations: Process 1.8 - 2.5 cm3/m2 Standard Pantone
4 - 5.5 cm3/m2
Strong PMS
6 - 10 cm3/m2
4 colour work and fine vignettes. Light Pantone shades, fine text and reverse outs. Mid range Pantone spot colours and text. Will also hold most reverse out text. Strong, dark spot colours and opaque white. Volumes around 20 cm3/m2can be used to achieve very dense opaque whites.
These inks are suitable for use on traditional cell, channelled cell and open wall cell configured aniloxes. *Compared to CG Flex TX inks

Their use must be qualified by specific migration analysis of the packaging that confirms that no migration of any materials occurs above the defined SML or pre-determined PPB. These inks are appropriate for applications where a low migration profile is not necessary. TX7 inks are ITX and benzophenone free. Other Info: CG Flex TX7 inks are fully blockable and can be overprinted using hot and cold foil stamping techniques. The fully cured ink will accept some thermal transfer ribbons and is suitable for laser overprinting. Testing is advised prior to production runs. Although exceptional cure should be achieved immediately, the inks will continue to post cure for up to 24 hours after printing. Pigments used in CG Flex TX7 inks have been selected to give optimum colour strength and consistency. Not all of these exhibit high lightfastness or resistance properties. A selected range of high resistance inks is available upon request.
