ABOUT THE ROLE The Community Manager is responsible for coordinating a social calendar for the Club full of intimate and varied events which promote new experiences and real connections for our membership. This includes a range of events to stimulate conversations on topics relevant to the city of Melbourne and globally, such as talks by some of Australia’s brightest minds, professional content workshops, informal social get-‐‑togethers and working group events. The Community Manager also plays an important role in developing a curated community through partnerships that enhance the Club’s value proposition and public profile. The role will be key to shaping the Henley Club and will be involved with overall strategy and planning for Henley’s future and footprint. Your role will include many perks, like the opportunity to attend events both at the Club and as a representative of Henley. You’ll also be working with our amazing members and interact with high profile guests. The role reports to the Club Secretary and is supported by the Committee, Working Groups, Advisory Board and Executive Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Event Management (50%) • Event program development, administration and promotion • Attend key events to ensure hosting, venue management, membership engagement • Maintain a strict event management process for pre-‐‑event and post-‐‑event including: • Promotion via all relevant channels • Attendance management • Photography / video during and after via FB, gallery etc. • Collect analytics such as no. of RSVPS, no. of attendees, no. of guests etc. • Sourcing Conversations speakers with help from the membership, Advisory Board and Management • Working Group program facilitation Community Engagement (30%) • Member development, induction, retention and relations • Represent the Club in the public sphere and attend events outside of Henley • Manage current and potential partner relationships with both corporate and community organisations • Facilitation of Henley Club Committee (inc, attending meetings) to ensure representation of membership, and action of committee plans • Recruitment, retention and performance of working group leaders • Engagement of Advisory Board • Regular communication (at least bi-‐‑weekly) with Club Secretary and Membership Manager Communications & Brand Building (20%) • Social media management via Facebook and Twitter to engage membership and build brand with the public • Facebook Page /henleyclub • Twitter account @thehenleyclub • Regular Mailchimp email newsletter updates to membership base (at least weekly) • Updating HC website as required • Regular member updates via email, website, Facebook, Twitter and Slack
