MODIFIED BLOCK PILOT

DON’T FORGET

From February 12-23, students will participate in a modified block bell schedule.

The Why We are constantly reviewing our schedule and course offerings to provide the MOST opportunities for students, and the BEST teaching and learning experience possible. While some subject areas benefit from a long block to dive deep into learning, research shows that student learning and retention increase when students are in certain classes on an every day basis. We are also asking our students and teachers to “dream big” and think outside the box about how we can even better meet the needs of all students.

The What We have developed a modified block bell schedule which will allow us to try something different but still maintain instructional minutes, 8 total classes, and start/end times. This modified block will also allow our LCTC and A+ students to travel. We recognize this schedule may challenge our normal routine, but believe this is the best way we can try out something before considering any major changes for next school year. Questions? Contact the high school office.

EVERYDAY We will have high fives ✋ in the hallways during passing times and a "CHILL" lunch. Students may bring blankets, lawn chairs, bean bags, etc... to relax on the floor while eating lunch. 📸 Emily Kostuke will be taking photos and videos throughout the week to make our Dude Be Nice video which we will show at the assembly.
